Personal Savings Accounts
Primary Savings Or Now Accounts ‒ Your Key To Membership
To become a member, you are required to open a Primary Savings Account with a minimum deposit of $5.00 or more. This is your “share” in the ownership of the Credit Union ‒ and why savings are called “shares.” You can also open Club Accounts or additional savings accounts for taxes or other purposes.
To continue to take advantage of your Garden State membership benefits, including loans, deposit accounts and services, you must maintain a $5.00 minimum balance in your Primary Savings Account. The account earns a competitive dividend rate.
All Garden State deposit accounts are insured for up to $250,000 by the NCUSIF, an agency of the federal government.* There are also steps you can take for higher insured account balances. We can show you how. Ask for the details.
Save More, Earn More
If you are not already a member or would like to open more accounts, stop by any of our convenient branch offices.
*The NCUSIF is the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund. It is a federally insured program governed by the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration).
